Hey Ya'll.
Im thinking about putting in a catalytic converter on my 1970 Ford f100. There is not too much information outon the enter webs if this would work. Has anyone put one in or have any information on what would be my best option.
Thanks Alot!

Re: Catalytic converter
Honestly if your state doesn't require you to run one on that year I wouldn't. All it will do is choke up your exhaust flow especially if you have an FE motor under the hood. Those motors respond really well to a four barrel carb, intake, and headers. All mods that allow more air to go though the motor. I live in Cali and anything older than 1975 you don't need to get it smogged. With that being said that's just my

Re: Catalytic converter
You could certainly weld one in, but I don't think you would ever be able to verify that it's working correctly unless you had upstream and downstream O2 sensors and an ECM capable of interpreting the data.

Re: Catalytic converter
You can but make sure that it tuned correctly or it'll cook the cat and the ceramic will fall apart.
