Oil drain plug
My 72 f250 has a plastic oil pan drain plug. Its rubber, as and I think its factory original. I cant get it back in, because it's so old. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Re: Oil drain plug
A rubber or plastic drain plug is not factory.
At one time there was a commonly available rubber plug used for stripped holes that had a plastic tool you inserted in the center to install.
I can’t find a picture of one right now, but show us what you have...

Re: Oil drain plug
Locate a new metal drain plug.
If it turns out your threads on the oil pan are worn or buggered up there are drain plugs available that are 1/2 oversize thread that can be used. I had to use one on mine when I first acquired my ‘67.
