What Factory Exhaust Manifold Bolts for 1967 F250 352?

Post by Seth »

What LENGTH were the original factory exhaust manifold bolts? What WASHERS were used?

I'm putting new exhaust manifold bolts onto a 1967 F250 FE 352 and want to use the original factory bolts and washers.

I found two different lengths on this truck... 1 1/8" and 1 1/4". It appears 1 1/4" will work, but I want exactly what it would of had originally. Not stainless, not generic grade 8, not something that will work. Wanting original. I cannot find 1 1/8" bolts at my auto parts or hardware stores, so I'm wondering if these may actually have been the original setup.

Also, I have 4 different washers that were used on this truck... Flat, serrated, split, and a locking tab. I've also seen the option for ramplok style. Again, what was the factory original? I'm thinking it may have been the locking tabs since again I can't find these locally. Seems when the factory original gets hard to find then things get swapped out and you end up with what I have.

I will torque these to 15 ft/lbs. I'm also putting back on the heat risers that were taken off. Already have those. I have gaskets, but not sure I will use these since they do not seem to be factory original on a 1967 F250 V8 352. I'll have them checked for level so this gasket may not be necessary.

I've found some at Mac's Auto but not sure which ones were used specifically on the 352 in a 1967 F-250. Which of these would have been "exact" factory original? Mac's also has both the locking tabs and the ramplok style.
