I found these when removing the pan on a 1972 F250 with a 360 engine. The engine was running great, just had a minor oil leak. Oh well, I was planning on a rebuild, so now is as good a time as any.

Is that the rear or front main bearing and seal? Cant really tell or see what the other pieces are, (my eyesight). :(
Beauty of the 360 is they are pretty much "bullet-proof"!
Mine in the F-350 would idle at 0-1 PSI of oil pressure on a good gauge and hardly even rattle at all, (but the oil psi was a clear indicator it was time for the rebuild).

rear main. Not sure where the bits and pieces came from. While its out I am also having the radiator redone and new clutch kit. It wasn't the news I wanted to hear, but I want this truck to be around for another 40 years. More a labor of love, so to speak, as there is no way I will ever recover the money I have put into her in the last few years.

I spent 11 wonderful years / lifelong memories with my Son / and around $8K on my last F-350 DRW build.
Agreed we can never expect to recover what we invest into them, (unless you fall into a crap pot and come out smelling like roses time and time again).
And that 360 will probably run another 40 years after a fresh rebuild!
But the smiles per mile make up for that I've always felt.
