Engine Options
I may be jumping the gun just a bit, as we are going to rebuild the front suspension on the old girl and drive her for a bit while we collect the bits for the new suspension, etc. I'm considering either an Ecoboost 3.5, Ecoboost 2.3, both with manual transmissions, or possibly the newer 3.0L Powerstroke Diesel. The Ecoboost stuff I'm familiar with, the Powerstroke not so much. Anyone have any thoughts, good or bad, on this setup? Specs out at 250 HP, 440 ft.lbs. of torque from the stocker. Considering that the original 360 was only good for about 175 Hp, I may consider the Powerstroke.

If you go with diesel, check out Ranchero50s conversion thread. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 22&t=48572. Not the same as what you're thinking but will give you a good idea of what you're going to run into.
