Water pump rebuild or new

Do people rebuild there pumps or just buy new? I'm trying to save money and d9bt mind learning something new, was just wondering if people did it.

If you're trying to keep your truck as original as possible and if your WP has the correct casting numbers, I would have it rebuilt. That said, if your WP is not numbers matching or you plan to install a higher performance engine, I would go with a HP pump such as Flow-cooler. They are not cheap but have a much higher flow capability
