Starter bolting question.

Post by ebaby35 »

When you bolt on starter does is use washers, lock washer, nut, thread locker? Didnt have hardware when I got the trick and couldnt find anything online. The holes are all through bell housing. 390 fe

All I've ever seen are flange head bolts, sometimes with lock washers, sometimes the flange heads are serrated. But I'm a small block guy so don't know about FE's.

Either flange head bolts or tiny washers under the bolt head will work .

The nice thing about the FE bell on the C6 is if the threads get pulled out a thru bolt and nut will secure the starter.
