Bummer, I'm in Indiana. I don't know anyone down your way. If you were in my area, I would port them for you. They don't need much...just bowl blending and smoothing out the casting flaws. Stay away from cutting the floor, it doesn't help...and could actually reduce velocity. If you gasket match the ports, do not "wide mouth" or "bell shape" the runners. This causes dead spots and turbulence. If they have the smog ports in the exhaust port, they can be cut out and the plugs installed at the end of the heads. The blind holes won't bother anything.

Now I'm definitely debating on getting the kaase p51 heads... I know that it's more expense, but they seem to be some great heads. Once the machine shop cleans the d3 heads up I'll check into the porting myself.. I also want to do a bit more research on them as well.

Usually by the time you renew stock heads you are 1/2 way to aftermarket ones. Add porting and you're there with an unproven combo.

Find a intake / cam / head combo that you like and build it.

Yes brother I'm truly doing my research on combinations. It will be stroked to 521ci.. I want a strong street combo for the local car shows and to blow off the tires every now and then.
