Re: 1972 Ford F100 Project.
Yes, it does get that cold here, not for awhile yet,,,starting in January. But, I have some other fall work to do before the snow flies. My snow plow truck is a 1990 Ford F150 4x4 that I bought new. The upper intake manifold is leaking anti-freeze and I am just putting it back together. That took a few days, the distributor was frozen solid. It took me a day to finally get it to move and pull it out. Hopefully I have the leak fixed.Manny wrote:You said -30-40 degrees celsius??? Jeez that is cold cold. I am amazed. Re: 1972 Ford F100 Project.
Not much going on with the truck now. I did find another F100 from another neighbor down the road. It looks like a 1970 Ranger. The motor is pulled, but the inner fenders look in good shape. The side molding on the fenders, cab and box look in decent shape also. I have permission to pull the parts. Cannot believe there are so many bumps hiding in the bush in my area.

Looks like she’s been there a while! Good find!
The 1970 Ranger went to the 3.5” side trim that covers the entire bump. Wonder if it’s a 69?

Re: 1972 Ford F100 Project.
From what I am told is was bought as a parts truck in the mid 80's. It has been sitting there since. They don't rust out as bad sitting, but still rust. The worst is the tree leaves collecting and holding water.Manny wrote:That is a good find. It must have been sitting a while or the salt would have got it i think. Yep i understand it same thing as down here the water and leaves. But the salt not spinning up in the wheel wells has to help.North56 wrote:From what I am told is was bought as a parts truck in the mid 80's. It has been sitting there since.
