Will the ac from a 74 work in a 72 without a tremendous amount of work ??

The trucks went through a major body change in 73' so taking the heater/ac setup and trying to configure it in a 72 would be like putting a square in a round hole. Some of the under hood components may work like compressor/ engine brackets if the two trucks had the same engine. but I don't even know about the condenser fitting right. completely different grills. I think the simple answer to your question is no.

I have a complete 68-72 factory AC setup, everything needed inside the cab. Will need to be disassembled and restored but it's very complete. PM if interested
