fuel pump replacement

Post by khnaess »

Hello
I am about to start replacement of the fuel pump on my 1972 F250 (390 cid with dual tanks).
I am wondering how much gasoline will pour out when I remove the fuel line that goes into the fuel pump? Will the whole tank drain out?
How should I prepare for this, is it best to drain the tank first?

No just have a proper sized bolt ready to plug the line with; some people use pinch pliers.
