Vacuum Advance Distributor Fitting

I'm getting ready to run a new vacuum line from the carb to the distributor. I had assumed when I undid the connection at the distributor there would be a standard flare fitting. From the photo below, you can see this is not the case.

I am not familiar with this fitting. What is it and where can I get a new one? I have only made flare/double flare connections on metal tubing. How is this connected? Special tool needed? Thanks for any help.

Looks like a compression fitting

Agree with ryne that it looks to be an "inverted compression" fitting though I'd never seen one on a distributor before.
Was this on the vacuum advance diaphragm? :hmm:

Yes, it is how the tube was attached to the vacuum advance diaphragm. I have not seen one used there either. Since you are unfamiliar, I must assume it is not original.

From research on an old Ford tractor site, I have determined that it is a Threaded Sleeve Nut which is similar to, but a little different than a standard compression fitting.

It crimps itself on the steel tube when tightened against the inner surface of the female side. To get it off you need to cut the tubing in back of the nut and pull it off.
