My new hi-po air cleaner came today so I can set aside my old air filter canister, but the new one doesn’t have a place to hook up the breather tube in the side.
Do I just put a regular cap on it and call it good? Or is there some reason why I wouldn’t want to do that?
Maybe stuff a shop rag in it?
Help as always, is highly appreciated!!!

That's one of the worst mistakes folks make on our engines, (especially is it has a few miles on it)."72bumbee"My new hi-po air cleaner came today so I can set aside my old air filter canister, but the new one doesn’t have a place to hook up the breather tube in the side.

You always want to keep the PCV on an engine to ensure positive ring seal and longevity to your engine.
Am surprised that your new one did not come with the aftermarket fitting that most come with that you install into the bottom of the air cleaner. It's pretty simple to drill the three holes into the base to install. I have a Moroso fitting here still with no use for it.

Re: Valve cover cap
I took off the lid and found the adapter!!!!!
I see where it goes but there are NO instructions for what size drill bit to use or if all the indented circles in the middle need to be drilled also?
So will I need to just remove the hard plastic fitting off of my hose and fit it onto the new adapter after getting it all drilled and screwed?
almost like an arts and crafts class...
so if I need to remove the air filter, do I just pull off the hose each time?
I guess I need to just dive into it and be sure the thing fits first...
Thanks guys!
Steve
