Hello,
Looking for info on parts needed for 240/I6 to 302 swap.
The truck is s 72 F100 short bed 4X4, NP435 / Dana 21.
I have a 77 model 302 that came out of a truck with an auto trans.
I believe I will need a 28 oz imbalance 164 tooth flywheel. Correct?
Will the clutch and pressure plate from the 240 fit / work?
I believe I will need a z bar as well.
I have engine perches out of a 79 F150 that I think will work but may have to be welded to my frame.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.

Good decision!
I can help with the "engine stands" (frame mounts) as the ones from the 79' will bolt right into place of your original 240 engine stands. There are four 3/8" bolts that hold each one in. Pay attention as you'll see two sets of bolt holes and watch which one comes out of which side on the 79' as you can easily install them on the wrong side, (mark them DS and PS when you pull them.
I don't believe the flywheel / clutch / and pressure plate from your 240 will work on the 302 but I'll let someone else chime in here on that.

Thanks for the reply!
Are you sure about the perches? You're not thinking of 2wd are you? The frames on the 79 were considerably beefier than the 72. It doesn't look like they will bolt up, but I'll be real glad if they do!
