Can anyone help me identify this seal? I recently fished this out of the filler neck of my radiator and I have absolutely no clue what this is, where it came from or how it got in there to begin with.

I figure since it was fished out of the top of the radiator, it must have entered through there as well unless the truck was run without a thermostat at some point. Maybe it's simply just some trash that found it's way into the radiator, possibly from a junkyard or something?
The truck is running fine otherwise, but I'd sure like to know if this looks like it might be something I should be concerned about or not. Obviously, I'm going to be flushing and cleaning my cooling system in the near future. I've got the oxalic acid crystals on order now.
What is this thing?

Must be those muffler bearings that everyone talks about. Not an option for my '67, and I'm not sure how they got in the radiator. ... unless you had one @#$%&* of a backfire through the carb!

What is it made out of...?
It looks vaguely like part of the shutoff valve on those funnels/tubes like you use for gear lube and such...

Looks like part of a hose or part of a spray nozzle on a hose.

Makes sense - someone used a hose to fill the radiator and that fell off.
1971 DRW F350 cab and chassis with an Open Road motorhome conversion, Dana 70, 352 (originally 390)/C6, PS, power front discs, and 159" w/b.

The spray hose nozzle is likely the correct answer, and it makes total sense. Good knowing it’s not something more critical.
