460 swap

Post by M-100 »

I'm getting my parts together for a 460 swap. I have everything but I'm not sure about the oil pan. The doner is a 78 e250 . I find alot off info about 4wd but mine is 2wd. Can i use the van pan or do i need somthing else .

I used a pan off of a 97 F250. It is the dual sump pan that ford sells for a 460 fox swap. Leaves 6.5" of room between the pan and the steering linkage. Plus you get rear sump!

I used the Fox swap pan. FWIW, a high volume pump will not fit under the pan. I had to modify mine.
