It's nice to see the progress on your truck! She is starting to look like a truck again.

I have all good ones for my truck, but some of the other ones are missing some of their mounting pins. They might be usable with body tape as the attachment.

New to me gas tank arrives on Sat. morning then I can finish installing interior.
Painted up the seat rails so when the seat goes in on the new carpet all will look good I hope.

Installed lap seat belts just because they came with the truck, I guess I didn't need to put them in at all, not legislated until 1971 I hear, oh well.

Yeah I'm getting excited now that the stuff is going together to. The reason the seats are going in is I want to sit comfortably to do the wiring on the dash. AND to

Well I couldn't wait to get the tank in before the seat so now I'll have to lift the tank over the seats but it should go with no problem.

I forgot what these old style seats felt like...soft couch, not firm like the new vehicles. Plus it's a challenge for me to get on the seat from the ground with my short legs.
My steering wheel puller was to thick in the middle to get to the bolts on the old wheel. Tried using my knees under the wheel and hitting the loosened nut on the shaft but there again short legs were an issue and it was scary watching the wife swing the hammer with a punch

Looks good. Long legs 6'2" here bumps are a lil tight. Your braver than me i would be scared to have anything around those old wheels for it cracking or busting. Interior looks great can't wait for you to be driving it. May not work that great in the cold and snow though

No the engine seems fine but then again I haven't had it on the road or run more than 20 min. so fingers crossed. I'm trying to get it drive-able and the interior done while the wife is good about letting me use her space in the garage. Once I get to the box and bumpers it won't fit in anyhow so out she stays...but tarped. I'm thinking the electrical should be next as I wait for fender and hinge seals to finish off the front end sheet metal.
Here is a pic of the tank going in, sure was a find as it is almost spotless inside.

I got the tank in and the smell seems to have gone or I got use to it!!
I didn't take any of this out so I have a question about the fuel line from the cab tank does it go thru the floor in front of the tank or down thru the side of the cab corner?(those were replaced so not sure if there was a hole there for it) There are two locations for the tank switch over valve in the floor so I'll pick my preference I guess. Interesting getting the fuel filler hose on the tank and filler tube in that tight area, but WD40 does the trick again.

Thanks Kyle it is coming along real good.
I did notice that the seat seems a little on the soft side, not sure there is anything I can do about that other than pull the cover and either add stiffer foam or something with the springs...any ideas?
I just received my fender and hinge seals so now the hood and front fenders can be installed. With the fender apron seals they sent staples with it???? Does one just insert those thru the pre-punched holes in both the seal and inner fender, then just bend them over?
Also got the w/w bottle, pricey for something that may never get used! New radius arm bushings that need to go in, that maybe a challenge.
It appears that the electrical is getting moved back again until this is all done.

Staples seam strange for those seals, unless they are pretty heavy. I've always seen those little plastic things you push through then you can reuse them. Auto parts always have them.
I don't know if I'd be complaining about a soft seat either haha- smooth ride.

Yeah not sure how one is suppose to install the staples but here are the seals and staples pic.
These go between the inner fender apron and firewall.

I may use small stainless screws and washers to attach.

The original seals were stapled... I just matched the placement in my old inner fenders on the new ones, drilled holes about the size of the legs on the staples and folded the staples over... don’t know if it would pass concours but it looks close...
