Carb/intake combo suggestions for FE 360

Truck FE’s never came with 4BBL carbs, is the current carb on an adapter or is it a car intake? Do we know if the engine is in fact the stock truck engine or could it be a car FE...

This is a common misconception, one I've had, too, until recently. For whatever reason Ford made the 390 available with a 4bbl motorcraft carb and cast iron intake manifold 2 yrs only, 1975 and 1976. The engine code is Y for those two years. My son's 1975 F250 is a Y-code with factory 4bbl.
