The pictures are here:

Unfortunately I am not sure where you could buy the parts. Classifieds here might net you a lot of this little stuff from part out trucks. A place called “Green Sales” has/can locate a lot of obsolete stuff...

Found the pedal screw but no spring, came across this vendor C&G Ford Parts and they have pretty good prices with good selection.

So this is the engine running 20 minutes with a slight smell of coolant?(you don't get to smell that!) I did notice a slight vapor coming out of the oil filler cap but was hoping that was just the condensation from when the water was in the other oil. I did notice one slight coolant leak on the intake but it was external for the heater hose connection. Will let the oil cool and if water in it to separate and then do a check on draining the oil pan to see what comes out. If oil first then I think I can put this behind me and move on with the build not thinking about it much.
This is what I hope was the smell issue.

Re: 1968 Mercury 250 Camper Special
No we're good on the e-brake, and as for wiring all the wire is run to its approximate location but nothing connected. Actually looking forward to the assembly of the rest of the truck, that's why I bought it........hoping most of the pieces are still with this truck!! I'm starting to make a list of all the little, misc. pieces like springs, rubbers, clips that get lost if not bagged properly and believe me that wasn't done on this build. I got a Rubber made tub full of the pieces just thrown in but the sad part was it had water in it for who knows how long and from more than just this truck, so that makes it even more interesting!
But all is good, having a blast doing it!

Re: 1968 Mercury 250 Camper Special
Kyle this is all good, I have all new big ticket items and a lot of new parts that don't belong to this year of truck in the mix. So selling those and getting the small easy to lose parts for my truck.
I sold a new bumper to a guy and now he is allowing me to go and strip all the small stuff off one of his parts trucks that he doesn't need ....that is a nice jester I think.

Okay auto correct caught me again...gesture.
Yes it is getting real interesting and fun to work on while meeting a great bunch of people in the process too.
Doing a lot of little things and checking over what has been done but soon on to the cab, windows, hood and fenders. Then the pics will come as well.

Post pictures before putting it together. Wipers go in first, then firewall pad. really sucks if you forget either of those.

Re: 1968 Mercury 250 Camper Special
Thanks Josh, me too on the engine!
Good tip Ranchero but the PO never took out the wipers but did remove heater and there is a new firewall pad installed already. My thinking is to connect heater hoses prior to doing any interior work and check for core leaks.
Here are a few pics of what I'm starting with!

Re: 1968 Mercury 250 Camper Special
I wanted to finish off the e-brakes and replace the drivers side cable so I pulled the axle and tried to remove the drum only to find it was very tight. I attempted to release the pads by the adjustment and typically ended up going the wrong way on the adjustment. So when I tried the other way it would not budge even when the ratchet plate was moved the adjuster is stuck??? I then tried to see if a little pressure on the drum would free it up and it looked like it may as it was starting to slide away from the back plate but no. Stuck real good now. My next attempt will be to cut the cable as it is no good anyhow and see if the releases the shoes at all. If that fails I guess I drill out the two clips and remove the brake line from the wheel cylinder and unbolt that too and see if that gives me any results.
Thanks.
Any other ideas would be helpful,Thanks.
