Hi Guys, I have a couple questions.
>1 Getting ready to install the engine and transmission as a unit and wondering if the the 4 carb bolt holes in the Edelbrock Performer RPM would hold all the weight of the engine/tranny combo and if not, where would be the best place?
< 2 When I install the timing chain cover what is the best way to seal the bolt holes that go into the water jackets? silicone tap? ...the bolts are a.r.p.
Thanks
Ron

1) There is no way that intake will hold that weight. Use either brackets with multiple points that connect to the heads where the exhaust manifolds bolt up or better, head bolts.
2) I've used silicone (a little) on those bolts on my 351W, no problems.

Unbolt the carb and bolt the lift plate down tight
Never had a problem pulling engines and transmissions together in 30 plus years using a lift plate
And yes those 4 bolts in Aluminum will support the weight of an engine
