Carburetor idle part

Help needed. I just bought a 75 Explorer 150. I am having trouble getting the idle set right. I have the original carb on it. The idle adjustment involves a small canister with a rusty spring and a post that pushes the accelerator. I assume the post retracts as the engine warms up. There is no vacuum line on it. I have tried to find the part, but I can't even find a part # for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no electrical connection or vac line on it then it is a dashpot and is simply to soften the return to idle speed, the actual base idle speed is probably adjusted with a screw near the throttle shaft.

Ok, now I feel stupid. Problem solved. Do you know if there is a idle kick up on that truck for the ac?
