Intake and Carburetor

Post by Jzbochat »

I have a 1972 f100 with a 390 in it. The motor still has original intake and carburetor. I was wondering if I would have any problems changing the carb out for a Edelbrock 1405 4 barrel and an Edelbrock 2105 intake?

Nope shouldn't be a problem. Its a little more involved on the FE engines as you have to removed the rocker shafts and pushrods to get the intake off. In this make certain you keep the narrow rocker shaft bolt at the oil hole is the only thing that can bite you. I would recommend a holley over the edelbrock. Just my :2cents:
