Do the dual advance 67/68 and up distributors need to be oiled or are they internally lubed?
I changed out what I assume was the original Load-O-Matic distributor on my 67 F100 240 to a dual advance style. The old one had an oil cap under the base, the new does not. The new one, (brand new/rebuilt?) has the port for one but is plugged with a plastic plug. It looks fairly permanent; it doesn't come off as easily as a typical dust plug.

Re: 68 Distributor Oil Cup
I've never lubed a distributor except for a dab on the lobes of the cam where it contacts the points arm and maybe spray a little WD40 around the shaft bushing before installing.
