Going to have my head rebuilt but not my engine. 300 I6
Looking for a head gasket that would work best on a newly milled head but older engine mounting surface for best seal.
Dont care about cost.

Re: Best head gasket for a 300 I6
Well they are a bunch of copper multiple layer steel from cometics you name it. They seal well but if yo research them lot of info states they work best of fresh decked surfaces. The 300 being so long has lots of room for warpage. As you are redoing just the head no block work my would say get you a quality fel pro or victor reinz you will not be dissapointed. If you want to upgrade your seal focus on your hardware. Does not matter how good the gasket is in the hardware does not hold the head down good enough to crush it right. Grab you a good gasket and grab a set of arp head studs. Torque it down with arp's bolt lube and she will be set no doubt.
