1967/1968 Vacuum Advance Line

Post by 69-er »

On my 67 240 I have decided to remove the Load-O-Matic distributor and install a conventional mechanical advance unit to match the non-Load-O-Matic carb. I noticed that the vacuum advance diaphragm on the new distributor has hose nipple instead of the compression fitting like the old one had.

Anybody have a pic of an original 240 that shows how the line/hose was configured? I would assume that the steel line from the carb just terminates to a rubber hose to connect to the distributor, but I'd like to be sure to keep it factory appearing.

Thanks!

Metal line around the front of the engine to the distributor is best i see. Standard rubber hose termination. this is the best picture i found. Scroll right at half way down the page has a good dizzy side shot.
