Best mini starter for the 390FE with Sanderson headers

Post by Ron_Hall »

Morning guys...
I'm at the point where I need to start thinking about the starter I'm going to use with Sanderson shorty headers. Not sure at this point if the stock starter will work or if I will need a mini starter. If mini, which one might be a good one for under $200.

Thanks
Ron

I've been running a Robbmc mini starter on my 428 for over 8 years with 0 problems. No more heat-soak

i got a got a reman starter off ebay and have had no issues with it over the past year with heat soak, I also got a heat wrap for it. I had to cut the ear on the block down some so it can be clocked up position. these are pics of it I took a few week ago.

Been running the same on my 68, C.S., 390 with Sanderson's last 5 years. Love it.
