4 barrel throttle linkage on 360
I have an Edelbrock intake and a Holley 600cfm 4 barrel carb on my 1969 F100 360, but the throttle linkage is to short. I would think this is a common upgrade but I cant find any easy solution. Does anybody have one? Pics would help.

More common than not most trucks by now have lost their intricate throttle assembly also known as the "trapeze" . If you still have your on your truck you will probably no longer be able to use it, you will need to remove it and fashion your own rod to the foot pedal arm to the carb. I once simply cut a coat hanger to link the foot pedal arm to the carb, mildly ashamed, but it did work.

Re: 4 barrel throttle linkage on 360
I came across that solution on my many searches but I've read some posts saying that throttle response is very touchy and is much smoother with the "trapeze" set up. I'll try that though for now. Maybe a 3/16 steel rod from home depot and bend the ends. Thanks.

It is a bit smoother with the trapeze, ultimately I made a couple new adjustable rods to make the trapeze work but it took a bit to get it adjusted well enough to get the pedal where i wanted it and still achieve full throttle but it can be done.

Re: 4 barrel throttle linkage on 360
I have the Ford 4BBL intake with an Edelbrock carb, and a direct linkage (heim joints and all-thread, so it was pretty easy to get it adjusted to where I wanted the pedal). I have never found the throttle response to be touchy. I will say that I'm glad to be done with that trapeze design! Much cleaner install.
