Headers, What fits?

Post by jjdeal79 »

I see many people using the Sandersons (ff427), but does anyone run them on a 4x4? I have a '68 f-100 4X4 W/360. Stock manifolds are long gone by previous owner and the current headers have seen better days. Honestly, the entire exhaust needs to be replaced. Anyways, I think they are currently headman long tubes, but that's based on pictures. I would like to go with shorties. I do not have a cherry picker and labor in Alaska is $$$$$$.

I know that there may be a question with the starter being in the way, but I can swap that. I'm really more concerned with the transfer case and how it's in the way. That's why I would like to go with shorties too.

3I am going to finally order the sanderson FF427. Will i need to get a down pipe, or am i looking at a full custom until i get past the crossmember on my '68 F100 4x4 with a 360? Specs list a 3 inch collector.
