WTB Interior Door Panels for a '68 F100

Post by Mikulh »

I'm looking for a pair of the interior door panels for my '68 F100... not sure what all years will fit.
I don't need the trim, door handle, or window roller handle... just the door panel.
Please include price and shipping to 39443.

thank you,
Michael

'67 was a one year wonder as the '68 federal safety guidelines forced a lot of changes. No more stabbing door latch handles in later trucks means you need to find '67 parts, not '68 and newer or '66 and before.

I'm sorry... I don't know why I said '67 in my original post...
My truck is a '68 like I said in the title. Can an administrator please edit that for me?...or tell me how I can edit it?

(I figured out how to edit it.)

No biggie. Any of them from '68 -72 will fit. Some had the trim ring and other had a cloth panel, each of which will require some modification to the door to fit the extra clips.

Those panels appear to take both the trim ring and Ranger panel. Not the greatest choice if you don't have the parts to cover all the extra holes.

Micheal, what's the trim level on your truck? Early trucks high end trim was lower level stuff for later years. I have a '71 Custom but went with the Sport Custom panels because they had the aluminum trim rings that clipped into the outer holes covering the mounting screws. Not the best pic, but one I could find from my build thread.

If you check the sales brochure for a '68 it'll show what you should have. Typically just the panel for the low end trucks.

My '68 is a Custom Cab. I have the trim rings that go around the outside edge, but I'm not sure if I have the trim to go in the holes circled in blue...

The blue should be for the fabric covered panels on the Ranger and Explorer trimmed trucks. I have a blue one from a '71 F100 Ranger I parted out somewhere down in the shed.

I do not have any of the trim, just the panels. Supposedly this truck was semi-restored at one point, so the original owner may have grabbed some different panels from a different year.

This guy might have some panels...
