Hello all,
I'm looking to replace my cylinder heads on my 360 after doing a compression check. It points to the head on one bank being the issue.
I have moderate mechanical skills, is this something I can tackle or leave it for the pros? Any tips or tricks?
What is a ballpark cost of having someone else do the install?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 360 Cylinder Head Installation
With moderate skills it's not a huge deal. Find a good book to guide you since it's a FE. Start soaking the exhaust manifold bolts with something like PB Blaster a few days before you put a wrench on them. I'm sure others with chime in with more advice.

Re: 360 Cylinder Head Installation
If you are looking at a complete replacement of the heads
Dont bother soaking the bolts if they break no big deal just replace them.
Being the engine up to TDC before you remove the distributor.Make note of where the rotor bug is pointing.
Use the distributor to center the intake manifold before you tighten it down.
Do NOT use printoseal intake gaskets.
Bo NOT use the gaskets for the ends of the intake...Use a product called "the right stuff"
Inspect the ends of the push rods for wear.
Straighten the rails on the valve covers.
Use anti seize on the NEW exhaust bolts.
