Did you figure out how far forward the scoop needs to move in relation to the the carb?
And 2" to the left?
I think all that can be accomplished in mods to the mid-plate.
I think the three studs would have to be mounted to the mid-plate facing down through tabs on the base (nylocks from the bottom) as the existing studs will not be accessable once the scoop is moved forward and to the left.
If the scoop was only moving forward, you could probably use two factory type studs out board in the front rather than a single centered one.
If height is concerned, I found a couple articles of installing high rise aluminum intakes on mustangs with ram air to lower the air cleaner base.

Using this idea would allow movement of scoop, but I think I'll modify a mid-plate to try and keep it looking like it could have been a factory piece. We'll see. Haha
