I need a steering box for a f-250 4x4, a runner or core will work.
Thanks,

Not long ago I rebuilt the factory power steering control valve in the drag link and it steers very nice now as soon as i get a good box in it it will be great the control valve i have is from a '77 and is the Garrison style it is the kit I found in an improved version from the early '80's and uses heavier springs to keep it centered and has good "feel" but the valve is a basic two way hydraulic valve and all the soft parts are O rings so if you have one that leaks they can be easily and inexpensively rebuilt I like the old ford power steering design as all the load with big tires and off road conditions is between the axle housing and tie rod and not the frame and axle :2cents:

Having knocked the ram style steering off while bouncing down the driveway of the old farm in my Dad's early Econoline Handi-van, I have to say I'm not a fan of it offroad. Crossover steering is much nicer for avoiding bump steer when lifted too.

That was most likely the Bendix style and they are not nearly as strong :2cents:

I have my eyes open for an IH PS box that will fit, probably from a Loadstar 1 1/2 ton then the manual box will go for sale (or the truck might be for sale by that point in time without the propane system)

Years ago I found an ad in a magazine for there conversion kit which uses the later integral steering box.
Did it in the 68 F250 I had. Well worth it.
Looks like the still around.
