help rebuild 1970 f100 gear box

Post by noxided »

1970 f200 manual steering box. I can't keep it in one lane and lots of play. What type of box is it and the only rebuild kits I can find are just seals and sleaves. Would that be enough to fix it?

Check out redhead steering gears you can buy a rebuilt one from them. You can also ask them about yours and they will help you identify what you have. I just asked them about mine and they were prompt in responding.

I have a manual steering gear removed from my 29,000 mile 1969 when I upgraded to PS. PM if you are interested to purchase.
