Transmission cooling line

Hello everybody,

I pulled the stock radiator and replaced it with a 2 row all aluminum by champion cooling. I had to trim the flanges to make the condenser lines fit. Once I got that done, no preformed upper or lower radiator hoses fit, so i used the flexible ones. I then decided to replace the transmission cooling lines. I ordered some preformed steel ones and they about 2 or 3 inches too short.

I don't want to send back the radiator. I already have the electric fan mounted and it is in place. Anyone have any suggestions for extending the steel transmission cooling lines a few inches?

My 71 has an extra finned line that runs in front of the radiator, but even if it wasn't there, the connection between the hard metal lines and the bottom of the radiator is rubber lines. Probably power steering return line or the equivalent.
