70 f350 slatside dump, driveshaft question
So I took the driveshaft out 5 times and installed it 5 times and jacked the rear off the ground and ran it through the gears, this is what I found so far at some point of installing the pto pump and hydraulic resiviour the steady bearing was moved and the drive shaft was modified, the cross member that the steady bearing is mounted to has worked itself loose. causing a vibration so , specifically any 1 ton dumps with the same modifications out there and is this a common? also was your driveshaft modified as well ?

Yeah, carrier bearing rubbers failing was pretty common back in the day. Swapped them out isn't terrible if you spray them down a couple days in advance.
