1968 automatic shifter broken in column
My '67, with '68 cab and auto steering column, currently has a very poorly installed worn out Hurst ratchet shifter that the cable just broke on. I would like to set it back up with shifter on column. Everything seems to be there , less likage that I will have to make due to truck originally being 3spd. w/OD and long tube headers, but the steering tube apparently has no connetion between the tube and the part that is supposed to connect to the linkage going to the tranny. After looking at the diagram, I can't tell how it is supposed to attach. I have not dissembled yet. Any tips?
