I got mine at my local parts store. Not an exact match but worked fine. Only variation was a little bit on the length and that retainer clip where it goes through the x/m before the equalizer bar. It's clipped in there and not coming out by accident, just a little sloppy. You can also get them here http://inlinetube.com/Brake%20Cables/br ... dTruck.htm Haven't bought brake cables from them but did get the SS brake lines and they are excellent fit and quality.

When I researched for my Crew, I found there are a LOT of different lengths and styles used for these trucks it seems, and rockauto.com had a good list and pictures of the different ones, along with descriptions. I still want to get new ones with liners that operate easier, but I need to measure my old ones first and need to take them out to do so. I suggest taking yours out to measure as well.

I just installed a new right side parking brake cable that INLINE TUBE made for me for my 69 F250 2x4. Could not find an original replacement anywhere so I sent Inline my old cable. They received it on a Monday and eight days later I received the new cable and old one back as well. I am very happy with the quality of the cable and the fit was perfect. I will be sending them the left side cable within the week for replication. I would have sent them both at the same time but it's kinda a long story... Cost of the cable was 85 bucks including shipping (to Idaho from Michigan). Thank goodness there are manufacturing capabilities in the U.S.

I have bought some replacements from the usual parts stores. They were the rubber jacketed kind made by Raybestos and they just didn't have the parking brake "holding power" that the OEM cables had. I suspect that it was because of the way that the outer housing was made with the wire wrap and rubber covering. Possibly not as firm as the housing on the original Ford cable. I would go with the cables from Inline Tube next time--they appear to be made the same way as the OEM ones if I remember correctly.
