driveshaft/yoke seal

Post by rwilly »

I am tuning up the driveshaft with new tailshaft seal and carrier bearing. In the process I broke this seal that goes in the threaded yoke that slides onto the transmission output shaft.
I am trying to find a new one but don't know the correct name of it, or proper terminology.

I suppose I could just use this one, but it as you can see it is broken. It doesn't hold in oil or anything.
I am afraid I will have to buy the whole yoke assembly just get this $ .05 part.

You're welcome.... glad to help....... That's what the Brotherhood of Bumps is all about.

Btw, soak it in hot water to make it more pliable before installation. There is also a similar patterned star washer that needs to be installed. They both need to be aligned on the splines before tightening the metal collar. Patience lest it break!!!!
