1966 changeover

My son and I are in the process of restoring and changing a 66 F250 into a 4x4
We are looking at buying a 73 F150 4x4 frame. The body of the 66 will go on the 73 frame.
The question is whether or not we can use the 66 300 cid engine with the 73 390 cid transmission.
Not sure how to tell if the swap will work.

Yes the two engines use the same bellhousing bolt patterns and the same engine perches.
