Help identifying this transmission

Post by rpaz »

This is my first post on this forum. Hello all, I've already had the chance to enjoy the many resources of this website.
Today, on my day off I'm draining the transmission fluid and replacing the filter in my 1971 Ford F100. Apperantly the transmission was swapped so now I dont know which filter and gasket to buy. This transmission is mated to a Ford 302. IDK if these pictures will help, maybe someone has experience with Ford transmission on this forum and can identify it.

Well I had a slipping transmission, thats why i replaced the filter. The transmission is doing the exact same thing it use to do. If I give it too much gas the RPMs go up but the truck doesn't go anywhere. Does anyone in Houston know of a reliable transmission shop that I can take this transmission to?
