NP435 to "4WD" NP435

Post by Old Blue »

Hi everyone
I'm upgrading our 1968 F-100 with NP435 mated to a Dana 21 (one speed) transfer case to a 435 mated to a NP 205. I understand that I'll need to change the output shaft to a 31 spline (from the "2WD" 28 spline) and also find a tail housing to mate up to the 205.
Does anyone know if these parts are hard to find and/or getting near impossible? Advance Adapters doesn't make either and I just wanted to put the question out there to the members before I start scouring tranny shops and/or eBay...
Thanks to all...

Very HTF... call Boyce Truck Equipment outta Utah or Offroad Designs who engineers and markets that 203/205 doubler.

I'm doing the same with my '73 F100. I totally lucked out and stumbled on a 4WD 76 F150 with an FE in the 'yard. Its NP435/205 came home with me after four hours of McGyvering cuz I was only there to get some calipers.
