Brake/clutch pedal pivot mount

I am gathering the parts needed to switch to a manual transmission from a C6 auto in my 1970 F100 with 360 engine. My question: Is the bracket the brake pedal mounts to for a vehicle with an automatic the same as the bracket for a manual vehicle? It looks like the same bracket in the parts manual with the only differences being in the pedal assemblies themselves. Thanks for the info.

I believe that is correct. IIRC, the brake pedal portion is the same on both and the clutch pedal assembly mounts as an addition to it. Going from memory when I went from manual to auto and I didn't pay that close attention since I had both assemblies handy.

If planning o go with power brakes, get the booster bracket, booster, and pedal assembly from the same donor due to dimensional differences.

The bracket is the same. On a manual trans truck the brake pedal pivots on the shaft of the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal hangs off the side of the bracket on the left side of it and the shaft goes all the way through the bracket and comes out on the right. The shaft has two flats machined on it and is threaded to hold the arm that attaches to the clutch linkage.

FYI - the 67 pedal and bracket are unique to that year.
