1964-1965 F-100 driveshafts
I have a 1964 F100 long bed with a 302, T18 tranny, and 9 inch rear end. I am needing a two piece drive shaft and found a 1965 f100 long bed, and was wondering if that drive shaft is the same and or will work.

Whar trans on the donor? A t-18 is really short so the coupling shaft say from a donor with an automatic will be too short. Also note the difference that there is a slip yoke on an automatic whereas a manual trans version as a fixed yoke.

Ya they welded the 302 mounts back a bit, and the t18 has a fixed yolk but works with my drive shaft with a universal joint. but ya they moved it back(the motor) far enough that it sits on the shaft plenty its just the old man that had it bent the drive shaft so I need another. The stock drive shaft . theirs a 1965 out in the junk yard and with a 2 piece and looks to be in good shape, its just its on rims and , being a big guy cant crawl under it and don't feel like jacking it up unless I am going to pull it. originally it had a 292 with 3 speed on the tree. I could put some pics up if you needed, their both out right now had to rebuild the 302 and put fresh (Valvoline racing) 50 weight in the T18, even re-wiring also.
