swapping a t19 inplace of a 3 speed in my 68 f100
I am wanting to swap a t19 inplace of the 3 speed column shift in my 1968 ford f100. It currently has the 240 in it now. what I'm wondering is what do i get the t19 out of? I read the tech article but do. not quite. understand the exact years. i understand they came out of trucks with 460's and the diesels in the mid 80's as far as i know. I'm wondering if its a complete bolt in afair? I understand i have to cut a hole and get a shift boot and all that but what about the linkage and will it bolt up to my 240? What's a good clutch you would reccomend without breaking the bank? And what about driveshafts?
Nothing better than beating a shiny new "sports car" in a old beat up ford
