Leaf Springs- how to tell if they are bad

Post by IN2FORD »

My truck was leaning to the drivers side. I pulled the leaf springs off and compared them. They the same based on dimensions. Now I am wondering of it could be the worn bushings in the shackles binding?? Can leaf springs be worn or saggy and but look identical and near factory dimensions??

My truck suffers from the same thing. It is noticeably lower on the driver's side. The other day I found the flattest parking lot I could find near my house and measured the height at the center of the wheel openings. Driver side front is 1/2" lower than the right side and rear is 3/4" lower than the right side. I'm curious also to hear what could be causing this.
