Interchange on Twin I beams?

Post by Dirty Offio »

Hey guys,

I just picked up a 91 f-150 swb 4x2 frame I am going to put my 67 swb body on. (67's frame is toast.)

Here is the question:

My 67 is lowered with beams, springs, and spindles. Will the beams swap over to the 91? Or is it about to be unlowered? The truck is bad ass looking with the lowering kit, and it was still usable, not a car with a large trunk like so many lowered rigs. (Hauled a pair of 460's in the bed, it held up fine.) I am hoping I can swap the lowering kit over and have the truck back on the road and sitting nicely stanced again.

Stock is ok, but it is really just a good starting point, right? lol

Thanks!

Offio

5th and 6th generation I-beams won't swap over into a '91 pickup. You'll have to buy new lowering beams if you want to drop the truck.
