And just to add a finding... These are pictures I found of dent side era crew cab trim pieces. It is left over on the interwebs from an old ebay auction that is long over. But it looks like the dentside pieces are a bit longer and will work just the same. So maybe I can find one of these.... Who knows...

I dug around a little more and found some more crew cabs with the same pieces in them. Here is a 68:

Here is a 71:

And here is a 74 dentside.. But it looks to have the same trim piece as the bump, not the longer one that I found photos of above... So I dont know...:

Thanks for the info guys.

I'm offshore right now, but I do have this picture of my truck from right when I got it. It shows the pieces mine came with, but they're hard to make out. It is 2 pieces of angle with 45* ends.

I did notice all those trucks pictured had carpet and I had a rubber mat. Maybe that's why? Or because mines a 67? I wish I had a link and pictures to the others I've seen, but I never saved any of it. I believe it's on oldfordcrewcabs.com though.

^ my 71 crew cab has the trim pieces for inside the rear doors and it had a rubber mat so I'd say most all crews had this trim except for maybe the base models for railroad navy forestry ect...

Here's a question did any of these crews come from factory with rear carpet? I only saw molested ones that had new carpet in or old ones with mats

Mine is a base model. 2wd, 240ci, no p/s, no p/b, no radio, painted bumper, painted grille, no exterior trim, etc.

We are speaking of the different types of rear carpet trim, the one they pictured and the type mine has. We know the crews came with trim, just unsure of which models and years came with what type of trim.

Hi Calfdemon, I'm glad you found your unicorn. Now we all can concentrate in helping the guy looking for the mercury tailgate LOL.
Actually I just wanted to share what I saw yesterday while while junkyard surfing, it's from a 80's E series van and looks simmilar to what we should have in our crews,
Problem is I had no tools with me at the time.
