Now starting to get the door post back together. Welded on the Passenger side, then coated the welds over with POR-15. All of this will be coated with epoxy primer, then a coat of black paint.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Finally finishing up the last of the welding on the door support section. Mocked up the vent boxes, with the cowl on, so I know everything will line up perfectly. There are holes for alignment, I'm assuming they used at the factory. I just put a guide pin in the hole, and then clamp everything down. Came out perfect! I'll get the cab primered, and the cowl area painted, before I weld the cowl panel back on.

Thanks Josh. It's been an awful lot of work, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run!

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Thanks Randy, I appreciate it! Used chemical stripper on the cab this weekend. I was just going to sand the paint, but there are two coats, and it's in pretty bad shape, so I stipped it ( I hate using that stuff, what a mess!), and I'll go over everything with some 80 grit over the next few days. Hoping to shoot epoxy on Sunday.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Well , Mother Nature cooperated, and gave me a very nice weekend. So, after spending 8-10 hours with my DA, the cab was stipped down.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
With all of the paint gone, I did find a few spots I wish I had known about earlier. Someone mashed this cab up pretty good. Then, instead of pulling the dents (although, it looks like they tried in one spot), they just filled them with bondo. Damn stuff was 3/8-1/2 inch thick on the drivers side of the cab!

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Finally coverd in epoxy. If I can get another good weekend, I'll get the cowl and dash in epoxy also. I'd like to get the doors done, but I'm thinkng I may not have enough time before the weather changes.

Re: 1967 F-100 project
Just a quick update on a few things I"ve gotten done. Sprayed the inside of the cowl area with 2K Chassis Black. Wanted something fairly durable, and this should do the trick. I'll also spray the underside of the cowl. Also prepping the dash for epoxy, I had to fill some holes that a PO had drilled for various who-knows-what!
