I've come across another option. Found the below on another thread anyone seen or done it?
"That is, the drop out IFS from a 93-04 Lexus SC300\400. It's a REAL nice looking piece and it's got a hair over 34" between the frame rails. It can use HUGE Turbo Supra brakes and it bolts to the frame. track width SC300\400 is listed as 59.8"."
Interesting. I "think" this might be another option? A couple of things to consider is will it handle the weight of a truck? Small block short bed might be ok? And the track width is really narrow. My mustang II is 60 inches which pushes the tires into the wheel well quite a bit; but it matches the 60 inch track width on the back of these trucks. I like that look but less than 60 might be a little too much. You could make up for that with the offset in your choice of wheels I guess. What bolt pattern does it have?
The bolt pattern is the same as ford passenger cars, 4.5 on 5. I think it may be worth looking into for for us in Australia as these are fairly plentiful,( we didn't get Crown vics here) and right hand drive. I will have to do some research.
Please excuse me for jumping in but I am part way through doing one of these installs and thus far it is a perfect set up. I do however find that it does not seem to sit my truck down that much, but I only have a distant memeory of the factory height of the bumpys, as mine has been dropped for some time with DJM dream beams. Here is a snap of it. At this height the top of the Lexus subframe cross memer sits directly under where the old welded and rivetted cross memeber sits and the bottom 'A' frame control arm is level and parrellel with the floor. I would prefer it a little lower. I intend notching the chassis by 2" to get the suspension where I want it.
I intend working on it again tomorrow and will tell you how it goes.
