Driveshaft lengt trans swap

I need to know if 53 inches is what a driveshaft should be for a 1969 F100 SWB 390/C6. I measured 53 from tailshaft to middle of u-joint cap on rearend. I have read many posts and found a chart that now has me confused. I found three possible lengths between 53 and 55 roughly. I plan on getting my current 3 speed driveshaft to the shop this week and want to give them the length.

Just call the driveshaft shop, they'll tell you exactly where to measure from and they build you a shaft based on your measurement.
